Melanie Scholtz makes her debut as a leader at Dizzy’s with the release of her second US record entitled Sweet Nancy, paying homage to one of her idols , trailblazer and vocal powerhouse Nancy Wilson. Journeying to the cradle of jazz, this album was recorded in New Orleans and produced by legendary drummer and artistic director, Adonis Rose. The album features an ensemble of accomplished musicians, including Oscar Rossignoli on piano, Jason Stewart on bass,  Adonis Rose on drums and Derek Douget on tenor and soprano saxophones.
The album's track listing is a celebration of Nancy Wilson’s legacy, presenting timeless classics such as The Very Thought of You, Too Late Now, and

The Shadow of Your Smile. With a mix of untouched iconic tracks and deep cuts, Scholtz offers a fresh perspective for die-hard fans while honoring Wilson’s unforgettable impact on jazz music.
